William Charles Moore

Mr. William Moore of Farmville, N.C. entered into eternal rest in November 9, 2023.

William Charles Moore was born on September 23, 1944 in Fountain NC and was one of the 3  sons and 5 daughters of the late Mrs. Lucy Moore Verene. Considered a special person,

Charles grew up in both Fountain NC & later lived with his family in Farmville NC as a faithful &dedicated son of the home. Never far from Mrs. Lucy & family, Charles did handy man work & was
known as a yard man in his younger years. He kept many of the yards in Farmville in tip, top shape and would often be seen pushing his mower around town with money stuffed in his socks.
 

Charles though not the regular church goer was a God fearing man who could often be found in his room listening to & sometimes singing spirituals (gospel music). God knows the heart even when the mouth can’t form all the right words.
Charles was also known for his finger snapping, that sounded like thunder & his head thumping that felt like he hit you with a bat. He was always ready to help but always ready to thump you upside the head just as quick if you messed up. Charles was nobody to be played with...Food, Family, Music, Gun Smoke, Walker Texas Ranger & other small things were the joys of uncle
Charles life.
Charles departed this life on November 9, 2023 and was preceded in death by his beloved mother Lucy Moore Verene, 4 uncles & one aunt from the union of Goodman & Pet Moore;
Larry, Clifton, Wilbur, Albert & Elizabeth. Also preceding him were sisters Hilda Darden, Fannie Jean Drake, Bernice Johnson, Aldean Moore and one brother Alvin Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memory one brother: Clarence Moore of Farmville NC, Caregiver & dear cousin Jimmie Moore of the home, Caregiver & niece Juanita & husband David Pitt of Greenville NC, Caregiver & cousin Earl Moore of the home, nephews Gerald Waters & family of Ayden NC, Eric Waters of Farmville NC & John Waters of the home, niece Denise Wilkes & family of Farmville NC, niece Annette Moore & family of Farmville NC, nephew James C. Moore & family of No.VA, niece Bonnie Crandle & family of Chesapeake VA, nephew George Ray Johnson & family of Washington D.C. niece Thalia Thomas Kahn & family of Washington D.C. niece Ella Moore & family of Washington D.C. niece Lisa Moore Hollingsworth & family of Long Island NY, niece Lisa Moore Wellington & family of Maryland, nephew Al Moore & family of Maryland, nephew Allen Moore & family of Maryland, niece Teruko Garnett & family of Maryland, nephew Michael Tyrone Moore & family of Hampton VA, nephew Sammy Drake of Goldsboro NC, nephew Bobby Darden & family of Farmville NC, nieces Angel Darden of Haw River NC, Peggy Charles of Farmville NC, Misha Edwards of NY, Sheldon Darden of
Connecticut & Mary Darden of Fountain NC. Plus a host of other special family members & friends.
