Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you: Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Virginia Gray Williams Holloway was born in Martin County on April 6, 1959, to the late Elijah Williams Sr. and Anna Pippen Williams. She transitioned from this life on June 20, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Virginia was educated in the Beaufort County School System. She later attended Beaufort County Community College where she studied to be a Ward Clerk.
Virginia was employed at Flanders Filter for ten years and at Hackney for thirty years. She was a hard worker.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she did not meet strangers and was very friendly. If she could help you, all you had to do was ask. Virginia was not a selfish person and was willing to share with anyone.
Virginia was also a home body. Her specialty was making chicken salad, macaroni salad and deviled eggs on Christmas and Thanksgiving. She knew we would be looking forward to them, so she would automatically prepare them.
Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Elijah Williams Sr.; one grandson Ramalle Nayshawn Holloway; three brothers, Clifton Williams, Eddie Williams, and Mashall Wendale Williams.
Virginia was united in holy matrimony to Cleveland Holloway on December 26, 1981. To this union one son was born.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her dedicated husband, Cleveland Holloway of the home; son, Ramalle D. Holloway (Jennifer) of Washington, NC; one granddaughter, C'yna Ramariah Holloway of the home; mother, Anna P. Williams of Washington; one sister, Brenda Smith of Washington, NC; two brothers, Elijah Williams Jr. (Linda) of Chocowinity NC and Troy Williams of Washington, NC; six aunts; five uncles; three special friends, Teresa Sherrod, Olivia Moore, Diane Bell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
