Ms. Virginia Denise Davis, 61, of Greenville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, October, 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia's Legacy
Virginia Denise Davis was born on February 8, 1963, to James Davis, Sr. and Caristine Miller Davis in Greenville, North Carolina.
Virginia received her formal education at J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina. Although Virginia didn’t have a college degree, she would frequently take college courses to implode her educational knowledge for personal growth.
Virginia accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Joy Temple Church of Deliverance in Greenville, North Carolina. Bible study was a passion for Virginia, as she was ecstatic about gaining biblical knowledge.
Virginia enlisted into the United States Army and after eight years of dedicated service to our nation, she was honorably discharged on June 17, 1991. After leaving the military, Virgina dedicated the rest of her career to the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer until she retired.
In her leisure, Virginia enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially her family and friends. With her family and friends alongside of her, they traveled extensively around the world.
Virginia Denise Davis departed this life on October 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, James Davis, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mom, Caristine Miller Davis; sister, Sandra Patrick (Gary); brother, James Davis, Jr. (Andrea); nephews, Donta Parker, Amari Davis, and Simeon Davis; bonus sisters, Sandra Parker, Cathy Dua, Denise Chapman, Rosa Parker, Tammy Williams, Juanita Alston, and Zina White; bonus brothers, Rob Parker and Barry Campbell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
