Ms. Virgie Jones of Greenville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2023.
Virgie Lee Roberson Jones was born on February 14, 1945, to Mr. Jesse James Roberson and Mrs. Bessie Barnes Roberson in Greenville, NC. Virgie obtained her schooling at Belvoir Elementary and Conetoe High School.
Virgie accepted Christ at an early age at Wells Chapel Church and was united in holy matrimony to William Earl Jones in Greenville, NC.
She served as a Mother of the Church, on the Usher board, Hospitality Committee and Sunday School attendant.
In her leisure time Vergie enjoyed shopping, helping people and more importantly praising God!
Virgie was employed at Family Dollars as a Salesclerk for over 15 years.
Virgie was proceeded in death by her husband, William E. Jones, her father and mother, Jesse James Roberson and Bessie Roberson, two sons, Calvin Roberson and Willie Roberson, sister, Laura Ann Roberson, Brothers, Jessie Redman, Jr., Mack D. Porter, Larry Roberson, James Roberson, Larry Roberson and Harry Roberson.
Virgie leaves to cherish her memory Two sons, Jeffery Roberson and Antonio Roberson (Beverly) and a Special Daughter In Law Brenda Freeman (Joe). Eight grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren. Four sisters, Barbara Taylor, Rosetta Roberson of Greenville, NC, Margaret Grimes (James), and Emma Andrews (James) of Conetoe, NC. Two brothers, Norman Roberson of Tarboro, NC and Willie Roberson (Mary) both of Tarboro, NC. A special friend who was more like a sister, Gloria Jean Moore and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, wonderful friends and other relatives.
