Mr. Vernon Harding of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on July 22, 2022.

We mournfully announce the passing of Vernon Ray Harding, 64, of Washington, North Carolina. Ray passed away on July 22, 2022, after a hard fought battle following a massive stroke.

Ray, born to William and Genotra Harding, took his first breath on January 22nd, 1958. Ray attended Washington High School in Washington, NC as well as Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC, where he pursued and was awarded a certification in Computer Science.

While Ray never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. He spent time in Baltimore, Maryland as well as San Diego, California.  His nephews and nieces meant more to him than words can describe.

Once he became ill, he still enjoyed listening to music, watching TV, and spending time with family. He attended Maranatha Church and had a special love for their congregation. We will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by Father; William Harding; Brother; Alvin Harding and Bill Austin Harding; and Nephew, Jeremi Banks.

Ray leaves to mourn a mother, Genotra Harding, Sister; Valerie Banks (Claude) Aunt; Neva Dixion, and Pauline Corey; Nieces and Nephews; Shannon Blount (Rory), Erica Banks, Jenna- Shae Harris (Dontrell); Great Nieces and Nephews; Shamyra Harding, Shadazia Weldon, Jacobi Banks, Joshua Banks, Jalia Banks, Nia Harris, and Jaxon Harris; Great Great Nieces and Nephews; Josiah Harding, Ava Weldon, Jory Weldon, Bella Weldon, Zakyias Harding, and Jaceyon Harding.
