Tyrel Emmit Minor

Mr. Tyrel Minor, 25 of Aurora N.C., passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, in Greenville, NC.

Tyrel Emmit Minor was born on January 14, 1999, to the union of Duane and Ursula Moore in Greenville, N.C.

Tyrel received his formal education in the Beaufort and Pamlico County School Systems in Aurora and Bayboro, N.C. He furthered his education at Pamlico Community College in Grantsboro, N.C.

Tyrel accepted Christ as his Savior at Hosanna Worship & Praise at early age. He later attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and in his latter days he joined Miracle Life Tabernacle Ministries.

In his leisure, Tyrel enjoyed rapping and writing music.

Tyrel Emmit Minor departed this life on May 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Lesley and Aljournia Moore; maternal grandparents, Emmit and Goldie Mae Minor; aunts, Goldie Eugeria Powell and Linda Faye Hemby; and one cousin, Le’Tesha Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Jahziel “ Zelly” Edwards of Greenville, NC; parents, Duane and Ursula Moore of New Bern, NC; brother, Dimitri Treshon Lee of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Linda Becton of Aurora, NC, Deborah Jones (Albert) of New Bern, NC, Erma Cody (Roderick) of Havelock, NC, Avis Reddick (Johnny) of Aurora, NC, Amanda Minor of Tarboro, NC, and Aviva Barron (Bobby) of New Bern, NC; one uncle, Gerald T. Moore of New Bern, NC; one special friend Deangelo “ Rich” Godard of Greenville, NC; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
