Mr. Truman Baker, 56, of Greenville, NC, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.
Truman “Tru” Cornelius Baker was born on May 1, 1967, to the union of James Thomas Baker and Sylvia Mae Smith Baker Barnhill in Bethel, NC.
Truman received his formal education in the Pitt County School Systems. He furthered his education at Durham Technical Institute in Durham, NC.
Truman Cornelius Baker accepted Christ as his Savior at the early age of 14 years old. He was led to Christ by Rev. Kilmer Fisher; he was united with Sycamore Hill MB Church.
Truman C. Baker was united in holy matrimony with Tina Carney on July 7, 2013, in Greenville, NC.
Truman C. Baker enlisted into the United States Navy from 1985-1988.
He was employed by Southeastern Industrial Painting & Supply as a Commercial painter for over twenty years.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking on the grill, watching the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, listening to music, and writing poems.
Truman Cornelius Baker departed this life on November 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by: grandmother, Katie Lee Smith; uncle, Big Truman Smith; and son, Trayvon Tyson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Tina Baker; children, Tymore Spell, Jacquelle (Cierra) Baker, Kashai Morris, Courtney Baker, Brandon Baker, Alexis Baker, Terrance Baker, Charnetta McGowman, and Niasha Perkins; a host of grandchildren; mother, Sylvia Smith Barnhill Baker; siblings, Sabrina Baker (John), Dana Howell (James), Lakeisha Perkins (Alonzo) Alicia Johnson, and Amy Parkson; niece, Kayla Baker; uncle, Winston McKeeve; bonus aunt, Patricia Bobbitt; and a host of other family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heavenly Arms Family Mortuary & Cremation Services, 8482 E. Marlboro Rd. Suite G, Farmville, N.C.
