Mr. Tony C. Barnes of Farmville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2023.

Tony Curtis Barnes was born on February 16, 1969, to Johnny Louis Sheppard and Maggie B. McCray in Greenville, North Carolina.

Tony received his formal education in the Pitt County School System in Greenville, North Carolina.

Tony accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2021 after his accident and attended Warren Chapel UAFWB Church.

Tony was united in holy matrimony to Kimberly Sherrod on January 13, 2018 in Farmville, North Carolina.

He was employed by Worthington Farms as a horticultural laborer until he was injured in a motor vehicle accident. In his leisure he enjoyed music, family, cookouts, dining, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Sheppard; his grandmother, Betsey Sheppard and his father in law, Johnny Gorham.

Tony Curtis Barnes departed this earthly life on February 6, 2023, and leaves to cherish his memories forever: his loving wife, Kimberly Sherrod Barnes; his children, Joyce Roundtree, Antonio Barnes Roundtree, Jasmine Pippen, and DeShekia Pippen; grandchildren, Ke’Asia Barrett, Kaylynn Barrett, Ke’Nilah Barrett, Cameron Tyson, and Jordan Daniels; his loving mother, Maggie B.
