Thomas Earl Banks

Mr. Thomas Earl Thomas of Greenville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 19, 2022.

On the evening of Monday, 19th September at 8:25pm, Thomas Earl Banks passed away at the age of 84. 

Thomas was one of 10 children born to Hambrax and Elizabeth Banks of Ayden, North Carolina.

He received Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Little Creek Disciples Church with his family. He attended school in Pitt County, graduating from South Ayden High School. Thomas’ career included working at Allegheny Steel, Banks House & Window Cleaning Service, and real estate investments. He was also certified as a Nursing Assistant; and was a long-haul driver for Star Transportation Inc. Dad was a self-starter who was innovative and creative. His hobbies included playing tennis, basketball, swimming and family time at the beach. 

Thomas is survived by his daughter Michele Banks of Bloomfield, CT; his sons Thomas (Charlene) Banks of Cary, NC; Earl Banks of CT and David Banks of Greenville, NC.  He also leaves behind a granddaughter Morgan Banks (Byron) Ennis to cherish his memory.

Thomas is also survived by his sisters Pastor Betty Banks Gardner of Ayden, NC, and Joan Carol Banks Lee of Houston, TX and his brothers Bobby Banks of Bronx, NY, and Wilbert Banks of Rocky Mount NC.

Thomas was preceded in death by parents Hambrax and Elizabeth Banks, brothers Harvey and Herman Banks; sisters Christine Banks, Minister Vanestine Banks, and Bonnie Banks.

We will always love, cherish and remember our dad, Thomas Banks. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen
