Ms. Tamesha Bindowa Satterwaite, 46, of Bath, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. 
 

The Life and Legacy of Tamesha Satterthwaite

Tamesha Bindowa Satterthwaite was born on May 20th, 1978, to Joanne Satterthwaite and James King in Brooklyn, NY. Tamesha departed this earthly life on January 8, 2025.

Tamesha was very intelligent and was educated as a medical professional as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She received Christ as her savior at an early age. In her leisure, she enjoyed fishing, sporting events, going to concerts and comedy shows.

Our beloved Tamesha was a beacon of love, strength, and compassion, and unexpectedly left us far too soon. Tamesha was more than just a mother, daughter, and friend; she was a protector, a giver, and the glue that held her family together. Her heart was as big as her smile, always putting others before herself and ensuring her loved ones felt cared for, no matter the cost.

She was preceded in death by her father, James King; grandmother, Annie Lara Satterthwaite; and great grandparents, Emmanuel and Josephine Stanley.

Tamesha leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Jahiem Satterthwaite; mother, Joanne Satterthwaite; brother, Kenneth Williams, Jr.; uncles and aunts, James Satterthwaite, Donald and Lenora Satterthwaite, Annakie Williams, and Mary Freeman; cousins, Shamika Satterthwaite, Keyon Satterthwaite, Marcus Satterthwaite, Latoya Jones, Shaqwana Jones,  Timaro Freeman, and Cassandra Freeman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
