Shirley Crawford Obituary

Ms. Shirley Crawford of Chocowinity, N.C. entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2022.

Shirley Mae Crawford was born May 19, 1950, to Marcelle and Sudie Crawford in Washington, North Carolina. 

Shirley Mae Crawford received her formal education at P.S. Jones School in Washington, N.C. She furthered her education at Beaufort County Community College in Washington, N.C. to obtain her training to become a Nursing Assistant.

Shirley Mae Crawford accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was united with Warren Chapel Church where she served as a Usher.  She was employed by Vidant Medical Center as a Nursing Assistant until she retired. She then cared for her father for ten years until his passing. 

In her leisure, she enjoyed fishing and gardening. 

Shirley Mae Crawford departed this life on August 23, 2022, at the home of her daughter. She was preceded in death by: her father, Marcelle Crawford; her mother, Sudie Crawford; two brothers, Issea Lee Crawford and Bobby Lee Keyes.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children,  John W. Bonner, Jr. (Monique) and Patricia L. Bonner; her grandchildren: Arianna Bonner, Briana Bonner, John W. Bonner III, and Jayla Bonner, all of San Diego, California, and Hannah Gibbs and Tristy Gibbs, both of Greenville, N.C.; her sIsters: Annie Williams of Chocowinity N.C., Mary Shepard of Greenville N.C., Nancy Crawford of Greenville, N.C., Clyde Keyes of Greenville, N.C., and Betty Hodges of Lacey, Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

 

The family of the Late Shirley Mae Crawford acknowledges, with sincere appreciation, your understanding, your prayers, and all acts of kindness shown at this time of bereavement.
