Mr. Samuel Reese, 69, of Greenville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Carrolton of Plymouth in Plymouth, NC.

The Life & Legacy of Samuel “ Sammy”  Reese

Samuel “Sammy” Lee Reese was born December 25, 1954, to the union of Sam and Annie Ruth Reese in Greenville, NC.

He received his formal education in the Pitt County School System and graduated from D. H. Conley High School in Greenville, NC.

Sammy joined Selvia Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at an early age where he sung in the choir. Before Samuel transition from this earthly life, he accepted Christ as his savior.

Sammy worked at Greenville Utilities for a few years. He later worked as a poultryman in Robersonville until his health failed. In his leisure, he enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family and friends.

Samuel Lee Reese departed this life on November 6, 2024. He was preceded in death by, parents, Sam and Annie Reese.

He leaves to cherish his memory, siblings, James Green, Peggy Purvis (Leroy), Melvin Reese (Brenda), Terrie Johnson (Cleveland), and Wayne Reese; nephews and nieces, Darnell, Robert, Chanel, Jacqueline, James, and Tabitha; and a special friend, Rayfield Ruffin; and host of great nieces, great nephews, and other family members and friends.
