Ms. Rosella Carney, 85, of Tarboro, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Tarboro, NC.

Rosella's Legacy

Rosella Carney was born on October 11, 1938, to the late David and Isabelle Carney in Tarboro, North Carolina.

She received her formal education in the Edgecombe County Public School System in Tarboro, North Carolina.

Rosella accepted Christ at an early age and knew his as her personal Savior.

Rosella was known in the town of Tarboro as "the babysitter" as she dedicated her time caring for and nourishing not just her own children, but the children from the neighborhood as well.

She departed this life on August 11, 2024, at Prodigy Transitional Rehab in Tarboro, North Carolina. Rosella was preceded in death by: her parents; and her son, Roderick Carney.

Rosella leaves to cherish her memory: her two sons, Monty Ray Carney of the home and Ricky Carney of Tarboro, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
