Ms. Rosa Stancil of Pinetops, N.C. entered into eternal rest on August 7, 2023.
Rosa Mae Jenkins Stancil was born on October 16, 1948, to the union of Rohevan and Cleora Jenkins in Pinetops, N.C.
Rosa Stancil received her formal education at G.W. Carver School in Pinetops, N.C.
Rosa Stancil accepted Christ as her Savior at Morning Star Holiness Church at the age of 34 years old where she served as a evangelist and was united with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as a sister.
Rosa Mae Jenkins was united in holy matrimony with Fred Allen Stancil on November 15, 1969, in Pinetops, N.C. Their union was blessed with two children.
She was employed by Glenoit Mills and retired from ABB as a Technician for many years. In her leisure, she enjoyed traveling and church activities, she was also an evangelist at Morning Star Holiness Church.
Rosa Mae Stancil departed this life on August 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by: spouse, Fred Stancil; mother, Cleo Hines Jenkins; father, Rohevan Jenkins; sisters, Cora Lee Jenkins and Mary Ellen Jenkins; and one brother, Clifton Hines.
She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Alvis Jenkins, Tracy Willoughby (Lamont), and Evelyn Stancil-Moore (Darfik); nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Lancaster, Alex Jenkins, Jonathan Jenkins, Beatrice Mullins (James), David Jenkins (Debbie), Floyd Jenkins (Verna), and Leroy Jenkins; a very special thanks to a special niece Deborah Jenkins; and a special granddaughter Darnita Ta’Quise (Lovette) Stancil for their dedication to helping in her time of need; and a host of other family and friends.
