Ricky Earl Leak

Mr. Ricky Earl Leak of Tarboro, N.C. entered into eternal rest December 8, 2022. 

Ricky Earl Leak was born on July 15th, 1966, in Lawrence, NC, to the late Richard and Marion Leak.

Ricky was a graduate of North Edgecombe High School in 1986. He accepted Christ at an early age.

Anyone that crossed Ricky’s path knew that he was passionate about being with his family, training his dogs, drawing, weightlifting, & detailing vehicles. Ricky never encountered a stranger and was always eager to lend a helping hand.

Ricky departed his earthly life on Thursday, December 8th, 2022, in Miami, FL.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edward Harrison (Eddie), grandmother Mary Powell (Sis), uncle Lynwood Powell, Melvin Leak, aunt Hattie Powell, Margie Leak-Farmer, great uncle James Powell (Snook), and his cousin Wendy Allen.

Ricky leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Lisa Howard Leak of Raleigh, NC, and five beautiful daughters Larissa Person-Jones (Daryl) of Princeville, NC, Alecia Howard of Raleigh, NC, Shade’ Slade of Fayetteville, NC, Angel Howard, and Alexis Wall of Raleigh, NC.

Ricky is the brother of Elizabeth Flythe (Adrian), Martha Leak, and Hillary Harper.

Ricky was blessed to have twelve remarkable grandchildren Euniqua Jones, Nashaun Johnson, Dy’Quayvon Dickens, Azavion Howard, Dy’Rese Jones, Jaiden Knox, Uriah Jones, Kamea Jones, Ivory Knox, Amir Howard, Kimora Howard, and Amiyah Howard.

His memories will stay forever with his aunts, Beulah Williams, Betty (Vonezell) Pittman, Diana (Barry) McNeil, Mercy Leak, Faye Leak, Isiarene Johnson, uncles James (Maggie) Powell, Donald Powell, Edward (Bobbie) Powell, Elder Edward Leak, Pastor Thomas Leak, a multitude of cousins, extended family, and friends.
