Ms. Vivian Peterson Obituary

Ms. Vivian Ann Peterson of Greenville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2021.

Vivian Ann Peterson, daughter of the late Richard Harold Peterson and Laura Hart Peterson, was born on January 13, 1960, in New York, NY.

Vivian, also called Vivian Jean or Mama Duck, attended elementary school in New York City. She later relocated to Baltimore, MD in 1969 and attended North Western High School.

Vivian attended Sweet Hope Baptized Church located in Baltimore, MD.

Vivian was employed as a Home Health Assistant. She loved to help others.

Vivian loved to have a good time. She loved to party, and she was a very outgoing person. She would always say, “Don’t play with Mama Duck” or “What you wanna do mildew or barbecue”. Wherever there was a party at she was sure to be there. She was the life of the party, and everyone loved her dearly. Never was it a day where she didn’t talk junk to everybody. If you weren’t being cussed out, you knew something was wrong. Again, she was the life of any party. When she got her “feel good juice” it was really lit. Then she would come with the fake crying. She should have been an actress, because that was one thing she was good at and could stop the tears at the drop of a dime. Mama Duck will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Richard and Laura Peterson; stepmother, Wilamina Peterson; sister, Andrian Peterson; and a very special friend/husband, Bruce Daniels aka Slim Goody.

She leaves to cherish her memories; children, Shauntia Peterson (Jerry Fogg) of Washington, NC and Greeley Peterson of Phoenix, AZ; grandchild, Jer’Quan Fogg; sisters, Gwendolyn Peterson and Makeva Peterson; adopted family, Shirly Ruffin, Regina Rogers, and Michael Foust (Iris); and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She loved each person in their own unique way.
