Ms. Vanessa S. Penuel of Winterville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on April 30,2021.

Our hearts were almost broken, we wanted you to stay.
So now you are sleeping, so peacefully and free from pain.
How could we wish you back with us to suffer again”?
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Vanessa Shante Penuel left this world unexpectedly on April 30, 2021. She was born in Kinston, North Carolina to Walter and Sherene Penuel. She attended North West Elementary School and North Lenoir High School, Lagrange NC, Class of 2012 "Go HAWKS". Shortly after graduating high school she attended Lenoir Community College majoring in Criminal Justice.
Nessa was a lover of the arts and fashion. She enjoyed fishing, shopping (even when it was spending mom and dad funds), playing Roblox with her nephew Duane aka "SNUKKS", and hanging out with family and friends. Her greatest desire was becoming a veterinarian for her love of animals. Vanessa was a firm believer on vibing off her own energy and meditation.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her very special uncle Tommy Travelle Love Davis. He now has an angel that he can call in heaven "Lil Munchin'.”
She leaves behind her parents; Walter E. Penuel Jr. and Sherene Renee Penuel, brother, Eric C. Penuel; Grandparents: Ruby L. Holt, Linwood E. Davis Sr., and Sarah L. Davis, and Elizabeth M. Love; Nephews, Eric D. Penuel and Maison Williams; Aunts and Uncles: Tony Penuel (Joyce), Sharon Jumoke (Jimir), Linwood E. Davis Jr. (Cortney), Tyrone T. Love Sr. (Nicole), Nekisha Herring (Devin), Lauren Love Davis and Terance Travon Davis Sr. (Chanel);
Special cousins, Shereka Patino (Salim), Sean Simmons, Jalia Simmons, Taliyah Davis, Steven George, Nikki George and Chris George; cousins Cecilia and Natalia Constanza, Salina and Salim Patino, Latoya Love, Isaac and Isaiah Herring, Terance Davis Jr., Mariah and Mischa Davis, Jazmine and Alayah Calvin, Bella and Tia Love Davis, as well as, numerous other family members and friends.
