Mary Bell Weston-Nimons was born on November 24, 1948, to the union of James and Argie Weston in Belhaven, NC. She departed this life on November 5, 2021, at 12:25 p.m.
Mary Bell received her formal education in the Beaufort County School System at Belhaven High School in Belhaven, NC. She furthered her education at Beaufort Community College in Washington, NC.
Mary Bell accepted Christ as her savior at an early ageand was united with St. Reddick Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served as an usher and worked on the kitchen committee.
Mary Bell Weston was united in holy matrimony with Henry Thomas Nimons in May of 1976. Their union was blessed with four children.
In her years in New York, Mary Bell was employed with Macy’s and NY Transit as a Toll Clerk on the Manhattan Bridge. After moving back to North Carolina Mary Bell was employed with Hyde County Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer for six years until her retirement.
In her leisure she enjoyed talking, watching westerns, looking at the news, and riding around the Town of Belhaven.
Mary Bell was preceded in death by: spouse, Henry T. Nimons; mother, Argie Bell Weston; father, James Weston; and brother, Raymond Peterson.
Mary Bell Weston-Nimons leaves to cherish her memories: children: Zina Weston and Aaron Nimons both of the home, Renee Weston of Belhaven, NC, and Henry E. Nimons (Teresa) of Greenville, NC; grandchildren: Parrish Weston (Deborah), Paridise Weston, Henry E. Nimons, Jr., Chandler Nimons, Darwin Cornelius Whitney, Jr., and Candice Nimons; great grandchildren: Zinai’ya Weston, Kamaren Weston, Parrish Weston, Jr., Zayden Weston, Paris Weston, Phabian Weston, Zhy’Sean Harris, and Antonio Harris;beloved sister, Gail Smith (Dewight) of Raleigh, NC; beloved aunts, Marian Ward of Belhaven, NC and Vernice Mason of Pantego, NC; daughter-in-kind, Angela Whitney-Sutton (Cliff) of Belhaven, NC; granddaughter-in-kind, Lauren Thompson of Greensboro, NC; beloved Godchildren, Markese Ebron of Charlotte, NC and Tammy Griffin of Belhaven, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
