Ms. Margaret Spencer of Pantego, N.C. entered into eternal rest on February 19,2021 at Ridgewood Manor.
Margaret Murray Spencer was born on March 2, 1937, to Raymond Murray and Cottie Boomer in Pantego, NC. She departed this life on February 19, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Spencer, and her sister, Ida Elliott.
Margaret received her formal education in the Beaufort County Public School System in Pantego, NC, and graduated on May 30, 1955. She furthered her education at the Industrialization Center of New York in New York State.
Margaret accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Macedonia Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. She served as a choir member for many years. Later she was appointed as a Mother in the Church.
Margaret Murray was united in holy matrimony to William Spencer on August 21, 1955, in Washington, NC.
She was employed by John Hancock and worked as a Data Entry Operator for 45 years.
Margaret enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crossword puzzles and studying God’s Word through several Bible correspondence courses.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Jacqueline Harvey (Larry) of Pantego, NC, and Frederica Broomfield of Philadelphia, PA; two special friends/cousins, Loretta Brown of Brooklyn, NY, and Hazel Murray of Belhaven, NC; special nieces and nephews: Larry Harvey, Jr., Kamesha Harvey Barrow, Davon Harvey, Tayanna Harvey, Theresa Broomfield, Bernice Bonner and Jamekeia Barrow; and a host of other relatives and friends.
