Ms. Laverne Bynum of Hookerton, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 23,2021.
Laverne “Pull” Bynum was born on May 13, 1962, to the union of George and Ezzie Mae Bynum in Greenville, NC. She departed this life on March 23, 2021.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Ezzie Mae Bynum; her brothers: George, Dixon and Willie Earl Bynum; and her sisters, Ester Rae Suggs and Dorothy Dixon.
Laverne received her formal education at Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC.
Laverne worked in the manufacturing industry for many years.
She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 56 and was united with Amazing Grace Church Ministries.
Laverne enjoyed writing, cooking, family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cherishing her precious memories are: her only son, Torey Bynum
(Rhonita Johnson) of Snow Hill; and her grandchildren: Jah’Quire Bynum, Kaceon Bynum, Tykei Bynum, Takayla Bynum and Amayra Newton; a special nephew, Montory Williams of the home; her sisters: Shirley Hardy (Elsom) of Walstonburg, NC, Dorothy (Dana) May of Farmville, NC, Brenda Smith of Zebulon, NC, Tammy Dixon of Snow Hill, NC, Brenda Dixon of Walstonburg, NC, Linda Dixon of Kinston, NC, and Bobby Jean Streeter of Wilson, NC; Deacon Bennie Bynum (Agnes) of Farmville, NC, George Bynum, Jr. of Hookerton, NC, John Henry Bynum (Sheryl) of Ayden, NC, Michael Bynum (Charlotte) of Maryland, Elder Eddie Bynum (Doris) of Wilson, NC, Alvin Dixon (Jennie) of Browntown, NC, and Ronnie Dixon of Snow Hill, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
