Ms. Dollie Lawrence

Ms. Dollie Lawrence of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

On November 8, 2021, Ms. Dollie Lawrence was called home by the Almighty Father. 

Dollie Lawrence was born December 20, 1954, to the late Joseph Copeland and Hattie Keyes. She attended the Beaufort County Schools and later furthered her education as a Child Care Provider. Dollie raised not only her children but several great niece and nephews. 

Dollie was married to the late Billy Lawrence, Sr. who preceded her in death. In that union they had seven children. 

Dollie loved working in her yard, cooking, and cleaning. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Dollie was preceded in death by: husband, Billie Lawrence, Sr.; son, Billy Lawrence, Jr.; and parents, Joseph Copeland and Hattie Keyes. 

Dollie leaves to cherish her memories: children: Randy Lawrence, Jerry Lawrence, Tyrone Lawrence, Michael Lawrence all of Washington, NC, Terry Lawrence, Tammy Lawrence both of Fayetteville, NC; twenty four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; devoted sister Lorena Copeland and Josephine Copeland both of Washington, NC, Georgia Bell of Chocowinity, NC; brothers, Frank Copeland of New York, Jimmy Copeland of Maryland, Bonnie Copeland and Mackey Copeland of Washington, NC, Billy Copeland of Grimesland, NC, Pete Copeland, Georgia and Irvin Thigpen of Alabama; aunts Rose Thigpen of Manhattan, NY and Mary Blount of Hyde County; uncle, Jean Thigpen Hyde County; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
