Alteas “Chuggy” Davis was born on July 15, 1961, to the union of Hattie-Ruth and George Davis, Jr. in Belhaven, NC. She departed this life on February 28, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hattie Ruth Mackey; her father, George Davis, Jr.; her sister, Delphine Credle; and her granddaughter, Maliah-Ruth Payton.

Alteas was employed by Vidant/Greenville VA Clinic as a Nurse for 25 plus years.

In her leisure time, Alteas loved cooking, family time and dancing. She was honest and straightforward with everyone.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Terrance Davis and Sharisse Davis; one grandchild, Nasir Payton; siblings: Avis Davis, Tyrone Davis and Bettie Davis; her cousin/sister, Tonya Pitts; her nephews: Steve Davis, Kelvin Davis, Keemar Davis; her niece, Adetria Lee; her uncle, James Mackey; her aunt, Debra Ann Williams; her significant other, Bruce Peartree; and a host of other relatives and friends.
