Mr. Willie Grant Blount II

Mr. Willis Grant Blount II of Belhaven, N.C. entered into eternal rest on January 14,2021.

Willie Grant “Pookie” Blount, II, was born on January 8, 1975, to the union of Willie Grant and Ranessa Blount in Belhaven, N.C. He was then taken to New York at the age of 2 by his parents. He departed this life on January 14, 2021.

He was preceded in death by: Lillie Bell Topping, grandmother, and two uncles, Jake and Vaughn Topping.

Pookie received his formal education at George Washington High School in New York.

Pookie was united in marriage to Ebony Benton on July 11, 2007, in Washington, NC. Their union was blessed with three children.

Being a self-taught musical engineer and entrepreneur, Pookie strived to provide the best care for the family he created.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, creating music, researching new ventures and simply enjoying life. He took pride in everything he touched -- once creating a book called “Super Duck Goes Green” with his family.

Pookie leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Ebony Blount; his three sons: Kevin, Unique and Tah’jay; his mother, Ranessa Blount; his grandfather, Chap Topping; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
