William Arthur Turnage, Sr. was born on May 20, 1950, to the union of Albert and Christine Turnage in Washington, NC. He departed this life on October 15, 2021.

William AKA Love Bug received his formal education from Washington High School, in Washington, NC.

William accepted Christ at an early age. He attended St. Luke Church of Christ in Washington, NC and later moved his membership to Deliverance of Faith Pentecostal Ministries in Grimesland, NC.

William was united in holy matrimony with Rosa Linda Daniels in Washington, NC. Their union was blessed with two children.

William was self-employed. He worked as a brick mason for thirty years.

In his leisure, he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, spending time with his neighborhood family and friends, and he had a passion for cooking on the grill.

William Arthur Turnage, Sr. was preceded in death by: his father, Albert L. Turnage (April 11, 1970); mother, Christine Turnage (October 1, 2001); brother, Robert Harris; and grandson, Maleek Bowman (February 16, 2020).

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Rosa Linda Turnage; daughter, Anita D Turnage of the home; son, William A. Turnage, Jr. aka Fella (Shakeema) of Nashville, NC; six grandchildren: Marquis Turnage, Raquan Turnage, Dyshekie Turnage, Omarion Turnage, Maleika Bowman, and Malaysia Morris; four great grandchildren: Chyna Turnage, Kylie Congleton, Marquis Turnage, Jr., and Raquan Turnage, Jr.; four brothers: Albert L. Turnage (Peggy), Marvin Turnage (Joella) of Washington, NC, Edmond Turnage (Carleen) of New Haven, CT, and Oscar Turnage (Sharon) of Bronx, NY; two sisters, Earnestine Winfield and Deborah Turnage of Washington, NC; two aunts, Mary Ebbs and Thelma Tucker of Brooklyn, NY; two uncles, Samuel Harris (Sylvia) and Bill Harris (Candy) of Washington, NC; mother and father-in-law, Samuel and Ellen Daniels of Grimesland, NC; two sisters-in-law, Lena Johnson and Dr. Ellen Bullock (Bobby) of Grimesland, NC; brother-in-law, Linwood Daniels of Grimesland, NC; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
