Thomas received his formal education at Lincoln High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Thomas Allen Collier, Sr. accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Valley Church of Christ in Flint, Michigan.
Thomas Collier was united in holy matrimony with Allie Cherry on August 9, 1980, in Farmville, NC.
Thomas was employed by General Motors as a set-up man for thirty-two years where he retired in 2000.
In his leisure, he enjoyed drawing, fishing, dressing, Domino King, and antique cars. He was a member of local union #659.
Thomas was preceded in death by; his parents, Ray and Emma Collier; son, Torrance Collier; brothers: Ray Kenneth, Emmet, Herbert, and Fredrick; and a sister, Barbara Jean Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his spouse, Allie Cherry Collier; his children: Thomas Jr., Sherry (Leon), Sharita (Wayne), DeDe, Chippretta, Terrence, and Kevin;sixteen grandchildren and four great grands; sisters, Kaye Collier Spires, and Janice Collier Gordon; sisters-in-law: Bertha Brown, Linda Baker, Helena Collier, Shirley Collier, and Connie Collier; adopted daughters, Shonda Mallory and Denise Brown; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
