Mr. Robert Edwards of Tarboro, N.C. entered into eternal rest on August 19,2021.

Robert Lee Edwards was born on June 1, 1951, to the late George W. and Ruth Matthews Edwards. Robert departed this life on August 19, 2021.

Robert worked for The Daily Southerner in the printing area and as a delivery driver making sure that the town of Tarboro was up to date on the news.

In his leisure, he enjoyed reading, driving around town, and babysitting Alexis.

Robert was preceded in death by; his parents, George W. Edwards and Ruth Matthews Edwards; brothers, James Faucette and George Edwards, Jr.; sisters: Nannie Bell Webb, Peggy Mills, Katie Gardner, and Helen Owens.

Robert is survived by; sisters, Mary Lou Simpkins of Macclesfield, NC, and Betty Mendenhall of Hobgood, NC; brother Clarence Faucette of Tennessee; close friends, Donna and Debby Davis; furry best friend Jack Jack; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
