Robert Edward Carter, Jr. was born on July 22, 1957, to the union of Robert Edward Carter, Sr. and Katherine Peele Carter in Bath, NC. Robert departed this life on July 26, 2021.
Robert received his formal education in the Beaufort County School System where he attended Pantego Elementary and Bath High School.
Robert E. Carter, Jr. had a strong belief in God that started at an early age and was united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Yeatesville, NC. He recently rededicated his life to Christ.
Robert E. Carter, Jr. was united in holy matrimony with Mary Ann Ebron on March 2, 1990, in Washington, NC. Their love endured for thirty-one years and was blessed with one child.
Robert E. Carter, Jr. was employed by First Christian Church as a Sexton for thirteen years. Over the years, Robert also did carpentry work, was employed with Sears in NY, and worked at C.O. Tankard Beer Co. as a shipping and receiving clerk.
In his leisure, he enjoyed cooking, video games, playing basketball, movies, fishing, bird hunting, not to forget his love for skiing. Robert was a confidant to all who reached out to him. He had a strong bond with his daughter, “Nonde”, who was known as daddy’s girl.
Robert was preceded in death by; his parents, Robert Edward Carter, Sr. and Katherine Peele Carter; sisters, Linda Bailey and Vickie Lanier; father-in-law, Henry Ebron; and mother-in-law, Edna Ebron.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his spouse, Mary Carter; his daughter, Nonde Carter, Washington, NC;Godson, Kamari Pritchard; sisters: Dyann Peele, Barbara Cobb (John), and Velma Waters, all of Chocowinity, NC; sister-in-law, Edna E. Randall, Washington, NC; brothers-in-law: Ralph Moore (Virginia), Billy Ebron (Tammy), and Henry Ebron (Barbara), all of Washington, NC; a very special cousin-in-law and friend, GladisEbron, Portsmouth, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
