Mr. Phillip Ray Dixon

Mr. Phillip Ray Dixon of Wilson, N.C. entered into eternal rest at Bridgeport Hospital; Bridgeport, CT on January 13,2021.

Phillip Ray Dixon was born on March 19, 1957 to the union of Annie Lee Dixon and Napoleon Dixon in Wilson County. He departed this life on January 13, 2021.

Phillip was preceded in death by: his father, Napoleon “Baby” Dixon; his mother, Annie Lee Dixon; three brothers: Ricky Dixon, Charles Dixon and Gennis Dixon; his grandmother, Adlonia Dixon and his daughter Jeanette Dixon

Phillip received his formal education at Saratoga Central High School in Saratoga, North Carolina.

He accepted Christ at an early age.

Phillip was united in Holy Matrimony with Dianne Johnson on September 20, 1977, in Wilson, North Carolina. Their union produced eight children and two stepchildren.

Phillip worked all his life. He worked on farms, as a mechanic and also as a carpenter. He was very good with his hands and provided for his family.

In his spare time, Phillip loved fishing and karate. His shy and quiet presence will be missed.

Phillip leaves to cherish his precious memories: his spouse, Dianne Dixon of Snow Hill, NC; his children: Latonya Dixon, Phyllis Dixon, Aaron Dixon, Myron Dixon, Carolyn Dixon, Christy Johnson and LaShana Johnson; his siblings: Joyce Ann Dixon, Teresa Moore, Frank Dixon, Jimmy Earl Dixon, Willie Mae Ruffin; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
