Mr. Michael Leroy Calhoun of Brooklyn, New York entered into eternal rest on May 8, 2022.
Mr. Michael L. Calhoun was born May 11,1960 to the union of Joe and Edna L. Calhoun Sr. in Brooklyn, New York at Brooklyn-Jewish Hospital.
Mr. Michael L. Calhoun received his formal education in New York City’s school system.
Mr. Michael L. Calhoun has been kind and friendly all his life. He was known for running errands for the senior citizens in his neighborhood. Michael was kind, and wouldn’t bother you, unless you crossed him. When “that” happened, you had hell on your hands.
Mr. Michael L. Calhoun has had several jobs, from being a cashier for the neighborhood grocery store, to working in Manhattan’s famous Garment district.
When his health started to fail, Michael Never stopped helping his mom.
Edna L. Calhoun was the apple of Michael’s eye. Even moving at a snail’s pace, He loved going grocery shopping for his mom, maybe because of his big appetite.
On May 8, 2022, God called Mr. Michael L. Calhoun home to rest. He was preceded in death by his father Joe L. Calhoun Sr.
Mr. Michael L. Calhoun leaves to cherish his memory: devoted mother: Edna L. Calhoun; sister: Cynthia Calhoun of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother: Joe L. Calhoun Jr. (Felicia) of Blount’s Creek, N.C.; two aunts: Burnette(Samuel) Williams of South Carolina, and Effie King of North Carolina; two nieces: Sade L. Calhoun and Iesha T. George; nephew Joe L. Calhoun III; great-nephews: Marshaun Holley and Joe L. Calhoun IV all of Greensboro, N.C. and a host of cousins and friends.
