Mr. Lonnie Earl Hopkins of Tarboro, N.C. entered into eternal rest on April 30,2021, at his home. 
 

Lonnie Earl Hopkins was born on March 18, 1951 to the Union of Ed and Pauline Hopkins in Greenville, North Carolina.

Lonnie Hopkins received his formal education within the Pitt County School System in Greenville, North Carolina. 

Lonnie Earl Hopkins accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. 

Lonnie Earl Hopkins was employed by Evans Farms as a laborer of various duties including driving tractors which he loved for most of his life. In his leisure he enjoyed being in the comfort and safety of his home while enjoying watching the television.

Lonnie Earl Hopkins departed this life on April 30, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; Ed and Pauline Hopkins; two sisters, Lois Hopkins and Doris Taylor; and three brothers, William Hopkins, Lawrence Hopkins, and Johnnie Ray Hopkins.

Lonnie Earl Hopkins leaves to cherish his memories a brother, Eddie Hopkins (Mammie) of New Haven CT; special niece, Erica Jones; special cousin, Robert Earl Barrett; a very special friend Carolyn Rodgers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
