Mr. Joseph “Lamont” Moore Jr. entered into eternal July 6,2021.

Joseph Jerome Moore, Jr. was born on September 18, 1964 to Joseph Moore, Sr. and Hattie (Cookie) Moore (deceased) at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. Most people called him “Lamont” or fondly called him “Joe Da Boss”.
Lamont was educated in the New York City Public School System. Lamont decided that he needed a change from New York City and relocated to North Carolina. There he worked as a Manager at National Spinning for many years. He became a worshipper at the Lighthouse Fellowship Ministries Inc. under the pastorate of Danny G. Newton, where he served faithfully. Lamont loved God and his ministry; whenever he was called upon to serve whether it was opening the doors of the ministry or doing security, he had a servant’s heart.
Lamont returned to New York City in 2015 when his mother became ill. Following his own illness, God called Lamont from labor to reward on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. His length of life would seem too short to many, but those whom he touched understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Lamont leaves to celebrate his life: father, Joseph Moore, Sr; sisters: Audrey, Robin, Lorna, Diana, Sarai, Rachel, Ziada; brothers: Bobby, Billy, Daniel, Shawn, Orlando; stepchildren: Teneeka, Monique, Cedric, Tiffany; uncles: Derek, Allan, David, Riley, Willie; aunts: Carolyn, Mary Alice, Sue Mae, Deborah; 9 nieces, 15 nephews; his extended family the Dingle’s who were always a pillar of love and support; best friend, JB; good friend, Anthony and a host of cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
