Mr. James Franklin Shelton of Englehard, N.C. entered into eternal rest on July 24, 2022. 

James Franklin Shelton was born March 15, 1960 to the union of George Allen Shelton and Luddie Mae Shelton in Hyde County, N.C.

James received his formal education at Mattamuskeet High School in Hyde County, N.C.

 James accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with Mount Pilgrim Disciple (Slocum).

James was united in holy matrimony with the late Rosa Shelton for more than 30 years, in Engelhard, NC. Their union was blessed with 2 children.

James was employed by Masterbrand as an Assembler until his health declined. In his leisure he enjoyed fishing, talking, and watching football.

James Franklin Shelton departed this life on July 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by wife: Rosa Shelton; father: George Allen Shelton; and brothers: Thomas Allen Shelton and Lester Shelton.

James Franklin Shelton leaves to cherish his memory: Children: James Shelton Jr. and Brittney Shelton; One grandchild: Sianni Sconyers; three sisters: Mary Ann Barrow (Edward), Mary E. Shelton, and Linda Davis (Anthony); two brothers: Rudolph (Jack) Shelton (Patricia) and Daniel Shelton (Lizzie): brother in kind; Jonathan Johnson and Roy Selby along with a host nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
