Mr. James Thomas Davis of Pantego, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 11,2021.
James Thomas Davis was born on July 20, 1952, to the union of Lenora McCloud Davis and Ralph Earl Davis in Pantego, NC. He departed this life on March 11, 2021.
James received his formal education in Beaufort County School System. He graduated from Pantego High School in 1970. He furthered his education at Beaufort Community College where he majored in Auto Mechanics.
James accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with Macedonia Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Pantego He served faithfully as a choir member. He also sang with the Pantego Male Chorus.
He married Brinda Ward on February 15, 2013, in Washington, NC.
James was employed as a Store Clerk with Weyerhauser/Domtar in Plymouth, NC, for 37 years.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, billiards and cooking Turtle Stew. He was also a Mason with the Masonic Home Lodge #628.
James was preceded in death by: his parents, Lenora and Ralph Davis; his brother, Kenneth E. Davis, Sr.; his sisters: Vicy A. Davis and Mablelene Davis-Fennell; his aunts, Verlie Daniels and Icelene Burgess; his sisters-in-law, Clare Davis and Dalphine Ward Gibbs; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Fennell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his spouse, Brinda; his children: Phillip Mackey, Sean D. Davis, Toshua Davis, Meeshaun Spruill, Patrease Mann, Anthony Mann (Tracey), Brentina Brown (Bernard) and Santana Gray (Henry); 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn Y. McCloud; his brother, Melvin E. Davis;one uncle, Wilbert McCloud; four aunts: Bessie Carter, Christine Howard, Hilda Cherry and Lois Credle; brother in kind, Kenneth E. Davis, Jr.; lifetime friend, Welton Boomer; sister-in-law, Lucinda Lovick and brother-in-law, Ronnie McNeil and seven brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
