Mr. Connie Lee Mackey

Mr. Connie Lee Mackey of Washington, NC entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2022. He was an exceptional, God-fearing, principled, hard-working, and devoted family man who was loved and respected by all.

Connie “Pete” Mackey was born on June 27, 1926, in Fairfield, NC. He was a World War II Army Veteran. After the War, he returned home to claim his childhood love-Essie Mae Tooley. On January 27, 1951, he married the love of his life in New York City where together they raised their four children. Upon retirement, after 30 years of service with the NYC-Transit Authority, he returned home with his Beloved and settled in Washington, NC, close to family. Family was not just important to Connie Mackey, It Was Everything!
