Mother Hazel Martin of Pantego, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2022, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice.
And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying; neither shall there be any more pain.

Mother Hazel Estella Collins Martin went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville, NC.
The sunrise of her life began in Hyde County on August 9, 1931, daughter of the late Warren and Gabella Sanders Collins.
Hazel attended the Beaufort County Schools. She worked hard raising her children, making sure they had an education, working on the different farms including cotton, tobacco, and flowers. She was faithful in her Christian service by serving in various churches such as, First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, New Hope Pentecostal Faith Holiness Church, Touch of Love Ministry, and New Beginning Outreach Ministry where she served as Mother of the church under her son-in-law and Pastor Wallace Burrus.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joseph Martin. She was preceded in death by son, John Richard Boomer; grandson, Gregory Lamont Boomer; four brothers: Elbert, James Edward, David, and Warren Collins, Jr.; sister, Mary Elizabeth Collins Green; grandparents, Deacon Daisy and Emily O’Neal Sanders. Hazel was their first and oldest grandchild.
To rejoice in loving memories, Hazel leaves three daughters: Patricia Lane, Dalphine Williams, and Louise Burrus (Pastor Wallace Burrus) of Washington, NC; three sons: Willie Collins of Queens, NY, Charles Boomer of Grimesland, NC, and Pastor Carroll Boomer, Jr. (Deborah) of Garner, NC; daughter-in-law, Sarah Brimmage; sister, Minister Jane Thompson of Stantonsburg, NC; two aunts, Juanita Russell and Lucille Corprew; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; thirty great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
