Mikely Jefferson Tatum

Mr. Mikely Jefferson Tatum of Aurora, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. 

Mr. Mikely Jefferson Tatum was born on February 12, 1960, to the union of Charlie and Ella Mae Tatum in Beaufort, NC.

Mikely received his formal education in the Beaufort County Schools Systems in Aurora, NC Class of 1979.

Mikely accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Reid’s Chapel Baptist Ministries and later joined Jones Chapel with his wife.

Mikely was united in holy matrimony with Genecie J. Tatum on April 1, 1983, in Aurora, NC. Their union was blessed with two children.

Mikely was employed by Envirovac as a Supervisor Hydro blasting for 21 years.

In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, and watching Carolina Panthers.

Mikely Jefferson Tatum departed this life on September11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Tatum, brother, Charlie Tatum, Jr., Eli Tatum, and Sister: Michelle Tatum.

Mikely leaves to cherish his memories: his spouse: Genecie J. Tatum; Children: Quesha Tatum (Ray) and Tierra Tatum; Mother: Ella Mae Tatum;  Grandchildren: Ke’Rique Tatum, Devonelle Brimage, Kemonee Brimage and Damari Langley; Sisters: Edna Dixon(Shelton), Toleda Hill(William), Tonya Tatum and Pastor Cynthia Stanley; Brother: Roger Tatum(Barbara), Frank Tatum(Sharon), Elder Donald Tatum and Darnell Tatum(Sharae); mother-in-law: Carrie M. Jones; Sister-in-law: Carrie Jones; Two brothers-in-law: Chris Jones and Kenny Jones; God Children: Markeith Jones, Keisha Jones, Santana Jones and Shayquaja Jones; Special Friends: Bryant Johnson, Charles Wright, Mike Peasrson, Gary Stilley, Edmond Moore, Zedra Williams and Clifton Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
