Michael Lawrence Moore accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with Highways and Hedges Church (Now True Believers Church of God) where he served as a Deacon and Musician.
Michael Lawrence Moore was united in holy matrimony with Shontella R. Roberts on May 29, 2005, in San Diego, California. Their union was blessed with three stepchildren.
He was employed by Vidant Medical Center as a Transporter for Thirty-Two years and retired. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing his trumpet and listening to jazz music.
Michael Lawrence Moore departed this life on December 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by: Grandfather: Noah L. Moore; Grandmothers: Azella S. Moore and Jodie B. Colman; Aunt: Evangelist Arva M. Carroll.

Moore; Children: Mario Claybon (Banika), Nelisha Roberts both of San Diego, CA, and Anika Roberts of Winterville, N.C.; Eight Grandchildren: Nigel, Mario Jr. (San Diego, CA) , Aniyah, Jamir, and Zane of Winterville, N.C., Kajahan, Kajahana, and Ashaun of San Diego, CA; One Great Grand-daughter: Ta’mariah of San Diego, CA; Mother: Doris Evelyn Moore Green; Sister: Sabrina Evete Green; Brother: James Howard Green; Four Sisters-in-law: Yolaina Graham, Casoline Wynn (Anthony), Ava Graham (James), Charletia Pettis (Christopher); Brother-in-law: McArther Graham (LaChandra); Uncles: Elder Robert L. Moore of Hampton, VA, Buddy L. Moore (Pen) of Baltimore, MD; Aunts: Mattie McLendon, Mildred L. Moore of Balitimore, MD, and Wanda Stancil of Virginia; Cousins: William Carroll (Seattle, WA), Anthony Johnson (Pam) of Baltimore, MD, Wilma J. Johnson of Bronx, N.Y.; Grandmother-in-law: Rosemary Claybon of Chicago, IL; and his church family, True Believers Church of God.  a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
