Ms. Mary Cobb of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
Mary Lee Jones Cobb was born on June 6, 1934 to the late George Lee Jones and the late Mary Collins Jones.
Mary Lee Cobb received her formal education at Oak City Schools in NC and accepted Christ at an early age.
Mary was united in holy matrimony to Linwood Earl Cobb on December 4, 1954 and to this union they were blessed with 10 children.
Mary was employed at National Spinning and was a bus driver in the Beaufort County School System. In her leisure time she enjoyed traveling, singing gospel, sewing, and gardening.
Mary was proceeded in death by her husband, Linwood Earl Cobb, Sr., her parents: George Lee and Mary Collins Jones. Three brothers; General Lee Jones, George Jones, and Robert Jones and a sister, Fannie Mae Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Six sons: Brady Cobb (Patricia) of the home, Linwood Earl Cobb, Jr. (Delores) of Washington, NC, Sonny Ray Cobb of Washington, NC, Jonathan Cobb of Atlanta, Ga., Kelton Cobb (Portia) of Rocky Mount, NC, and Shawn Cobb (Dewanda) of Greenville, NC. Four daughters; Lizzie Mae Mitchell of St. Petersburgh, Fla., Mary Cobb of Greenville, NC., Dorothy Cobb Corbin (Eric) of Atlanta, Ga. And Pamela Cobb Lampkin (John) of Washington, NC. Thirty Grandchildren, 67 Great Children, 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
One sister, Barbara W. O'Farrow (Robert) of Washington, NC. Two brothers-in-law; David Cobb and Gregory Cobb. Three Sisters in law Mammie Cobb, Gloria Jones, and Retha Sanders. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
