Lon Francis Everett

Lon Francis Everett, Sr. is survived by his beloved soulmate of Cindi Everett; sister Bethany L. Shuler and husband Gary, brother Wm. L. Everett, Sr. and wife Pat; children: Lon Everett, Jr., Miranda Smith (Waverly), Desiree Jacinto (Leo), Jacqueline Everett, Elizabeth Garcia (Ignacio), Stepson Nathan Haynes; granddaughter, Angelica Womacks (Byron). He is also survived by several other grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Melody Parsons.

Lon was employed by NC Coastal Pines Girl Scout Council for 14+ years and served as Camp Ranger at Camp Hardee in Blounts Creek, NC. He touched many lives over the years at the camp through his gentle, kind, and understanding ways. His interaction with fellow rangers, counselors, as well as girl scouts of all ages, left lasting impressions. Mr. Blue Jeans as many called him, will be very missed at the camp. He also served his community by assisting his wife, Cindi, at the Eagle’s Wings Food Pantry in Washington, NC.

Lon will always be remembered as a kind, understanding, and loving man.
