Mr. Leonard Glance 83, of Snow Hill NC, passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2026. at his home.

Leonard “Lenny” Glance passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, coach, and friend whose presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lenny is survived by his beloved wife, Lelanette (Gurley) Glance; his sons, Duane Glance, David Glance (Valerie), and Joseph Glance (Frankie); his daughters, Patricia Sanderson (Freddie) and Karen Glance; and his stepdaughter, Regina Dawn Koen. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Shanton Renee Davis.

He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 niece, and 4 nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Glance and Alexandria “Sandra” Glance. He is survived by his siblings, Robert “Bob” Glance and Elaine (Glance) LaLonde.

Lenny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as a skilled tool and die maker before discovering a passion for construction. Over the years, he built homes and worked closely with realtors, earning the respect of many through his craftsmanship, hard work, and dedication before eventually retiring.

Outside of work, Lenny loved spending time with his family, playing golf, and enjoying hockey. Hockey was more than a pastime to him — he played the game himself and later shared his love of the sport by coaching others.

Those who knew Lenny will remember his strong work ethic, sense of humor, love for his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember him.
