Lamar Jerome Grimes

Mr. Lamar Grimes of Edward, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 12, 2023. 

 

Psalms 23: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Lamar was born in Washington N.C. on July 23, 1987,to Linberg Grimes and Shirley McCuller.

He was reared in the home of his grandmother Mary Etta Grimes, where he joined Holy Temple Church at an early age. He received his formal education in the Beaufort County School System. 

He was employed by Triple C Construction, Washington N.C.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jaquay Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Katrina Grimes; two daughters, Danielle Langley, and Gabriella Langley; one son, Jai'Zavion Hart; three stepchildren, JaCori Blount, Rachel Blount, and Ariel Blount; parents, Linberg Grimes Jr. (Alvista) and Shirley McCuller (Antonio); grandmother, Mary Etta Grimes of the home; one sister, Shontel McCuller (Rashon); four brothers, Lindsay Grimes (Cassandra), Lentonio Grimes, Leon Grimes and Isaiah Turner; two sisters in love, Mary Ann Moore(Daniel) and Cardel Morgan, his Godmother of the home; father-in-law Florence Roie; three aunts, Francine Mozelle( Daniel), Virginia Martin, and Katina Jefferson (Mardie); Lamar also leaves behind a host of great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Heavenly Arms Family Mortuary & Cremation Services, 906 W. 15th Street, Washington, NC
