Mr. Johnnie Williams of Tarboro, N.C. entered into eternal rest on August 21,2023.
Johnnie Earl Williams was the son of the late Johnny Lee Williams and Mary Anderson Williams. He departed this life on August 21, 2023, at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina. Johnnie attended Tarbor High School, where he played football and track. He worked at Long Manufactory for many years, until their closing. He also worked at Sara Lee Bakery, until his health declined. He attended St. Luke Baptist Church at a young age and his favorite song to sing in the choir was Pass Me Not, Oh Gentle Savior. We will miss his laughter, his jokes, and his love for eating his favorite chips, pringles. He was the life of any family gathering. He was known for saying, “Imma ball till I fall.” He leaves to cherish his memories: his one and only sister (like a mom) Kizzie Mignon Willaims (who he called his brother); three daughters, Saddeja Simone Wooten of Raleigh, NC, and Ashely G’nell and Brittany Nichole Branch, both of Tarboro, NC; one son, Jaquan McCoy Williams of Tarboro, NC; three grandchildren, Taylen Branch, Raegan Branch, and Kinsley Parker; two nieces, Kayla Monique Williams and Daniah Mignage Williams; one nephew, Darrius Montrell Williams; one special aunt, Patricia Dickens; four special cousins, Terrance Williams, Toby Saunders, Marquis Sessoms, and Theresa Williams (Strawberry); eight aunts; five uncles; and a host of other special cousins and a special friend, Lee Staton.
