Janice Marie (Green) Stokes

Ms. Janice Stocks of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2023.

Celebrating the Life of Ms. Janice Marie Green Stokes, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, niece, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great-aunt, and friend to many. 
Janice was born to the late William Green, Sr., and Mary L. Cobb Green on March 16, 1955. She attended Beaufort County Public Schools as a Graduate of Washington High School. Janice then furthered her education at Pitt Community College, where she obtained her credentials as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Nursing Assistant l and ll.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, William Green, Sr., and Mary L. Cobb Green; her brothers Freddie Green and Davey Green.
Janice loved everyone she met. She would help in any way she could. Her heart was big and full of love. Janice loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She loved all of her family and made sure before she got off the phone with you, she would say " I Love You". She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her! 
Janice transitioned from this earthly life on Monday, February 6, 2023, and leaves to cherish her memories: Three beautiful children, William Raleigh Gibbs lll (Margie) of Virginia Beach,VA, Jermaine Lamont Gibbs (Angela) of Tampa, FL., and her one and only daughter Augustina Marie Gibbs of Greenville NC; Grandchildren Taliea Bright, Jermaine Dupree, Victoria Dupree, Sentell Green, Aodasijia Green, Tonmil Blackledge, Jaylin West, Jaquez Blount, Nayshon Gibbs, Jackie Harris, Zavion DeBerry, and two bonus grands Mailaya Blackledge and Shaniya Williams; Siblings Wilma Boone (Johnny) of Chocowinity William Green, Jr. (Gloria) of Washington NC, Linda McClain (Sheldon) of Washington; ten great-grandchildren; three special aunts Nellie Moore, Verna Shaw (Marvin) and Magnolia Cobb; and a very special friend Evan Wooden; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
