Mr. James Arthur Sherrod was born July 7, 1958 to the union of Annie Rosie Lee Sherrod and Donald Lee Sherrod in Tarboro, N.C.
James Sherrod received his formal education in the Edgecombe County School Systems in Tarboro, N.C.

James Arthur Sherrod was united in holy matrimony with Patricia Diane Murphy in Tarboro, N.C.  In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and being a very sociable person.

James Arthur Sherrod departed this life on December 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by: Mother: Annie Rosie Lee Boddie; Father: Donald Lee Sherrod; Carolyn Ann Sherrod, and Milton Earl Sherrod.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Spouse: Patricia Diane Murphy; One Son: James Sherrod; Sisters and Brothers: Robert Lee Boddie, Donald Lee Sherrod, John Brinkley Sherrod, and Shirley Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
