Jack Mack Banks Obituary

Jack Mack Banks, age 80, resident of Walker Avenue in Washington, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. Jack was born in Beaufort County, a son to the late Connie “Estelle” Wainwright Banks and Mayo McKinley Banks.


In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Gail Banks; sisters, Loretta Ward and Brenda Squires; brothers, Floyd Banks and Mayhew Banks; a cousin, Sheila Ann Dail; an aunt, Mary Elizabeth Fleming; his son, Richard McKinley Banks, and grandchild, Asa Gail Rouse.


Jack became well known as a resident of Whichard’s Beach Road located in Chocowinity, N.C. and very well known as a Millwright in construction industries such as Weyerhaeuser, Texas Gulf, and the Roberts Company. He indulged himself with ice cream and others surrounding him with laughter, loved going fishing, taking long rides around town, spending time with family and friends, especially those family reunions.


He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Melburn) Keech of Pinetown, Ashley (Matt) Rouse of Grimesland; his grandchildren, Heather (Terry) Cox, Nicole Banks, Austin (Tess) Woolard, Alexis Rogers, Emmanuel Rogers, Zoe Rouse, Axel Rouse, Londyn Keech, Memphis Keech, Lily Keech; his great-grandchildren, Cadence Hare, Sydney Wright, Summer Wright, Coston Cox, Cade Cox, and Isabella Lopez.
