Mr. Floyd Eli Holmes of Lagrange, N.C. entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2022.

Mr. Floyd Eli Holmes was born on June 29, 1951, to the union of Mozella Joyner and John Holmes. He received his formal education in the Greene County School Systems in Snow Hill, N.C.

Floyd Holmes accepted Christ as his personal savior for over forty years and have been running for Jesus until the Lord called him home and was united with Grace Baptist church where he attended faithfully.

Floyd Holmes was united in holy matrimony with Cora Kilpatrick Holmes on June 17, 1972, in Hugo, N.C. Their union was blessed with two children.  He was employed by Caswell Development Center as a Developmental Tech 1 for 29 years and seven months.  In his leisure, he enjoyed Lawn care and talking to people.

Floyd Eli Holmes departed this life on November 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by: Parents: John and Mozella Holmes; Two Brothers: Harvey Holmes and Raymond Holmes; One Sister: Rosetta Holmes-Nobles.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 50 years who he loved and adored with all his heart: Cora Holmes; Children: Toma Holmes of Raleigh, N.C. and Falesha Holmes of Greenville, N.C.; Grandchildren: Davonna Bynum, Jaylen Holmes, and DaQuan Lawrence; Three Great-Grandchildren: Da’ Kari Bynum, Da’kylee Coppedge, and Kanna Coppedge; and a host of other relatives and friends.
