Emerson Curtis Williams “Lill Curt” Was born May 18, 1960, to the late James E. Williams & Margaret Lee Williams. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday August 29, 2023, at his home.
Lil Curt received his education in Edgecombe County public schools. He worked at Superior Essex Cable, for 18 years until his health begin to fail. Lil Curt was a man of very few words but when spoke he meant exactly what he said and wasn’t going to change his mind. He was loving and caring yet very stern. Lil Curt was known for his infamous words BAE & BOOT. Lil Curt was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially with his two sons and two nieces, with them his world was complete. He also enjoyed being “Papa Uncle Lil Curt” for his great niece and nephew Jada and Javion who he also loved so much.
He was proceeded in death by his parents James E. Williams & Margaret Lee Williams, two sisters Mary Frances Smith & Delzora Williams, two brothers Mack Williams & Kenneth Lee Williams, two nephews Justin Smith & Reginald Alston.
He leaves to cherish his legacy: his two sons, Justin S. M Williams of Tarboro, NC, J’Quan X. D Williams of Rocky Mount, NC; his two nieces who were the daughters he never had Danitha W. Tillery (Vick) & April N. Williams both of Tarboro NC, one brother, James Ruffin; two sisters, Delores Williams of Richmond, MN and Sherry Williams of Tarboro, NC; four Aunts Arnismiss Ruffin, Geraldine Knight (Kurt) Lesterine Knight, and Callie Ruffin; two uncles, Curtis Ruffin and Johnny Ray Ruffin ( Loretta); one Godbrother James Ricks; three special friends Linwood “Lin”, Demarlyne and Shirley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
