Mrs. Ellen Daniels of Grimesland, N.C. entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Ellen Wiggins Daniels was born September 7, 1933, to the union of John Henry Wiggins and Helen Wiggins in Pitt County. She departed this life on December 19, 2021, at 8:45 a.m., at home surrounded by family.
Ellen Daniels received her formal education at Pitt County Training School in Greenville, N.C. She furthered her education at Beaufort County Community College in Washington, N.C.
Ellen Daniels accepted Christ in 1949. Ellen was baptized and joined St Monica Missionary Baptist Church, under Pastor I.S. Branch. Mother Daniels Served as a faithful member of the St. Monica’s Missionary circle. She enjoyed expressing her wisdom during bible lessons and fellowshipping with the members. She loved attending Sunday school, always eager to learn about the goodness of God. As a mother of the Church, she exemplified “it’s more blessed to give than receive”.
Ellen Wiggins Daniels was united in holy matrimony with Samuel Thomas Daniels, their union was blessed with five children.
Ellen was employed by Beaufort County Hospital and Senior Village until her Retirement. In her leisure, she enjoyed yard sales, crochet, and cooking THE BEST SWEET POTATO PIES. She also was a member of the Helping Hand Club.
Ellen was preceded in death by her mother: Helen Wiggins; her father: John Henry Wiggins; her son: Tony Daniels; her grandson: David Earl Daniels; Seven sisters: Alice, Helen, Lovie, Emma, Martha, Bertha, Bell; Two brothers: Charles and Tom.
Ellen leaves to cherish her memory her spouse: Samuel Daniels; her four daughters: Lena Johnson, Rosa Turnage, Ellen (Bobbie) Bullock, all of Grimesland, N.C.,; one son: Linwood Daniels, one granddaughter that she raised from birth: Pamela Lewis; one foster daughter: Crystal Moore; three grandchildren raised in her home: Darryl Daniels, Kisha Young, Simone Morning, and Marcus Daniels; Thirteen grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren to include a Fifth generation of great-grandchildren; One Sister: Mary Steveson ;Three Sisters-in-law: Hattie Daniels, Elizabeth Cory, and Betty Sutton; Brother in law: Willie Daniels; a special niece Shirley Perry and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
