Ms. Eleanor Vonia Stilley, 76, of Edward, N.C., passed away on Saturday , June 1, 2024, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, N.C.
Eleanor Stilley was born March 12, 1948, to the union of James Ebron and John Ann Bullock in Washington, NC and departed this life on June 1, 2024.
Eleanor received her education at S.W. Snowden High School in Aurora, NC. Eleanor was a member at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and serve faithfully as an usher. She started working at S.W. Snowden as a Teacher Assistant and a bus driver, she was employed there for over thirty years. She was well known for her tough love but always had that smile for you afterward. She loved working with kids so much that after she retired, she went back about a year later to be a substitute teacher.
Eleanor was united in holy matrimony to the late Floyd Stilley on December 28, 1972. They were blessed with three children.
She leaves to cherish her memories; children, Milton Stilley, Sr. (Cornelia) of Edward, NC, Barabra Stilley of Belhaven, NC, and Wanda Stilley of Greensboro, NC; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sibling, James Ebron (Mary) of Thonotosassa, FL, Mercer Bullock of Waldorf, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
