Elder John Branch

Elder John Branch of Washington, N.C. entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2021.

John Branch, Jr. was born on March 17, 1927, to the union of John and Mamie Cooper Branch in Aurora, NC.He departed this life on October 20, 2021.

John Branch, Jr. received his formal education in the Beaufort County School System in Aurora, NC.

John Branch, Jr. accepted Christ at an early age and was united with Church of God in Christ where he served as an Elder. 

John Branch, Jr. was united in holy matrimony with Derrie Mae Midget in May 1947, in Roper, NC. Their union was blessed with six children.

John Branch, Jr. enlisted into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on August 17, 1946.

He was employed by Singer Furniture as a Janitor until he retired.

In his leisure, he enjoyed drawing and reading his bible.

He was preceded in death by: spouse, Derrie Mae; daughter, Mamie Lee Keyes; son, James Earl Branch; parents, John and Mamie Cooper Branch; three brothers and four sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children: Dorothy Hines, Elder Delena Branch, Eva Ann Midgette (Johnny), Jon Ann Branch; grandchildren: Angela Day (Cedric), Angela Harris (Anthony), Annisson Lewis (Willie), Jerry Hines (Angela), Allen King (Marchelle), Chevella King, Michelle Branch; twenty great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
